Microsoft Information Internet Services (IIS)

Cause

  • This is due to the length of the query limit in the URL being above IIS's default limit of 2048.
  • To check the query length count in the URL:
  1. Copy and paste the URL throwing the 404 error from developer tools into a word document
  2. Highlight the data in the URL after the first '?' and then do a Word count.

Resolution

  • Increase the query limit in IIS to be above the query length in the URL

Workaround:

  1. Go to Home->Projects-> and click on a project
  2. Click on the Team tab
  3. Click on the Configure icon on the right hand side
  4. From the List Column Section tab drop down, select Options
  5. Change Rows per Page from 50 to a lower amount
  6. Click Save and Return
