Populate Project field blank in OOTB Advanced Reporting reports

Issue/Introduction

1. Populate Project input control field/option returns blank in Out of the Box (OOTB) reports in Advanced Reporting
2. User has the following rights already:

• Advanced Reporting - Ad Hoc Create
• Advanced Reporting - Report Create
• Advanced Reporting - Navigate

Cause

This can be due to access missing to view projects

Resolution

1. Grant Project - View rights to the resource for the projects the user should have access to
   • To grant the user access for all projects:
     • Grant Project - View Management - All access to the resource at the Global level
       • You can grant it to a group the resource is apart of if all users in a group should have access
   •  To limit the user's rights to a subset of projects, you can grant the project view rights at the OBS or Instance level instead.

• • • Example of granting rights at instance level for one user:

1. 1. • 1. Go to Administration->Resources
        2. Click on the Resource
        3. From the "Resource's Access Rights" tab, select Instance
        4. Click the 'Add' button
        5. Select the 'Project' object and click Next
        6. In the Access Right search field, enter Project - View then click Filter
        7. Select the check box next to 'Project - View' and then click 'Add and Continue'
        8. Check the check box next to all projects the user should have view access to
        9. Click Add (or click 'Add and Select More' to add additional projects)
      • Example of granting rights at instance level for a group

1. 1. 1. 1. Go to Administration->Groups
         2. Click on the Group
         3. From the "Group's Access Rights" tab, select Instance
         4. Follow steps 4-10 in the above example for instance level for one user

     2. Run the Load Data Warehouse (LDWH) Access rights job
