Cannot create a fiscal TSV for Cost Plan Detail sub-object

Issue/Introduction

PPM system allows one to create custom TSV fiscal attributes. In PPM 15.8 the TIME-VARYING TYPE option on the attribute creation page is missing. The option is available at the Cost Plan object , while it is not available for Cost Plan object detail (sub-object cost plan). 

Did something change in 15.8 or is there a preliminary configuration step missing?

Resolution

The Fiscal TSV attribute can only be created on a Sub Object for which the Master Object is associated with a Financial OBS and will have the period type and period date ranges for the TSV on the subobject. For the Cost Plan Detail object make sure the Project object is associated on the OBS.

If the required OBS association is available then you should be able to create the time varying attribute on both Cost plan and Cost Plan Detail object.
