Issue/Introduction

Receiving errors while performing apply check for SYSVIEW maintenance for z/OS 2.3, 2.4 and CICS 5.5 compatibility.

Environment

SYSVIEW 15.0 - z/OS supported releases -

Resolution

There are SMP/E error messages in the apply check:

GIM54502E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CNM4JVMD BECAUSE THERE IS NO DD STATEMENT IN ZONE CAIT.
GIM28307E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CNM4JVMD, WHICH IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PROCESS ELEMENT GSVOAGC1 IN SYSMOD SO06572.
GIM22601I    APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD SO06572.

This is because there is no DDDEF defined for CNM4JVMD in the target zone.

PTF SO06149 , among other things, provides the GSVUJVMD sample jobstream to add the new CNM4JVMD DDDEF to the SMP/e environment:

 APAR #: SO06149
 Product: SYSVW      Release: 15.0        Solution #: 25
Title: JVM DATA COLLECTOR AGENT CONDITIONING MAINTENANCE

1. Apply the PTF.
2. Copy element GSVUJVMD from the CNM4BSAM target library into
   your <hlq>.SAMPJCL dataset.
3. Modify the GSVUJVMD member in <hlq>.SAMPJCL and follow the
continued on next page instructions in the comments.
4. Run GSVUJVMD to add the new DDDEF in the SMP/E target zone.
