Issue/Introduction

 

What is the significance of IDs associated with every property from
the Policy Server sm.registry ?  

sm.registry

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\SiteMinder\CurrentVersion\Accounting=15188

What is 15188 here and will there be any kind of impact if these value
get changed ?

 

Environment

 

Policy Server 12.8SP3 on RedHat 7;

 

Resolution

 

This number is randomly created by installer for registry files and it
hasn't significance in today's Policy Server version.

We rather advise you to keep these number as is in the registry file
meanwhile.
