we need to test Response Time between 2 nodes through net_connect probe for PROD

Issue/Introduction

We need to test Response Time between 2 nodes to enable network latency monitoring  how can we monitor this? Please let us know if we can monitor through the net_connect probe by using (Enable threshold monitoring and give response time 7 ms)

Resolution

Deploy net_connect to the source and target machines and let them monitor each other.

Check out 'Packets to send,' e.g., 3, and 'Delay between packets.'

Set or modify the following fields to configure packet loss monitoring properties:

Packets to Send: specifies the number of packets to send on each interval.
Default: 0

Delay between Packets (in ms): specifies the delay (in milliseconds) between successive packets.
Default: 0

You MUST specify NON-ZERO values to generate jitter and latency QoS messages.

Once you deploy an instance of a net_connect probe on a remote hub for instance, you simply configure the target hostname/IP to be monitored and set the alarm threshold for latency. That is required and how it works.
