Zos agent not starting generating logs

Issue/Introduction

When using Zos Agent to monitor an application, after deploying the agent properly, checking the JVM arguments and application settings.

Starting the application properly instrumented, the application starts normally, but the agent does not generate any log, do not connect to the MOM or give any signal of life.

 

 

Environment

Application Performance Management 10.7 Agent release.

Resolution

Make sure that all files inside the whole agent folder in Zos system are set as ASK file type, If any file is set as EBCDIC type, the agent will start but will not instrument the application.
