Run Spectrum Performance View processes as a Windows service for 24x7 Operation

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to run the Spectrum Performances View processes, (InfluxDB and SpectrumInsideView) as Windows Services for 24x7 operation?

Environment

Spectrum 10.4.1 on Windows OS

 

Resolution

Currently, it is not possible, in Spectrum 10.4.1, to run the InfluxDB and SpectrumInsideView processes as Windows services.

However, this is addressed in Spectrum 10.4.2 where the following enhancements are provided to allow Spectrum Performance View to be run 24x7:

Spectrum InsideView Enhancements-
- Manage the InsideView from OneClick Administration page
- LifeCycle Management of InfluxDB is controlled by Process Daemon.

No release date for Spectrum 10.4.2 is available at the time of publishing this knowledge article.
