SAP jobs fail U02004081 BAPI_XBP_BTC_STATISTIC_GET

Issue/Introduction

Automic agent shows connected to SAP system, but jobs cannot be started from Automic Workload Automation.  The following error shows in the SAP Agent log:

2020-06-07 13:07:33 - U02004028 SAP job 'UC_JOB_0055161306' with number '13073100' ended abnormally.

2020-06-07 13:07:35 - U02004081 Error in function 'BAPI_XBP_BTC_STATISTIC_GET': 'No statistics records found for job 'UC_JOB_0055161306'/'13073100'', Type: 'E', ID:'BT', number: '455'

2020-06-07 13:07:35             No statistics records found for job 'UC_JOB_0055161306'/'13073100'

2020-06-07 13:07:35 - U02004081 Error in function 'BAPI_XBP_JOB_JOBLOG_READ': 'The job log is empty', Type: 'E', ID:'XM', number: '061'

Cause

File system /sapmnt/<SID>/global has run out of iNodes due to too many reports generated by failing SAP jobs created on Automic side.

Resolution

Steps to resolve:

Stop Automic scheduling

Cancel all active jobs in Automic

Clean up /sapmnt/<SID>/global file system

Restart Automic
