Issue/Introduction

ACF2 was IPL'd with NOBACKUP using the CAISECxx parmlib member.  What is needed to start taking a backup of the ACF2 databases?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

The NOBACKUP parameter only pertains to automatic backup of ACF2 databases.

When a system is started with NOBACKUP, this states that the automatic backup will not take place. The only way to reset that is with an IPL after having removed the NOBACKUP from the CAISECxx member.  Then the GSO record BACKUP can start working as defined for automatic backups.

A backup of the ACF2 database can still be performed manually by issuing the 'F ACF2,BACKUP' command.
