Issue/Introduction

We are using the new Dynamic Alarm Titles in Spectrum 10.4.1 and we have noticed that whenever we send a non-Ascii character in the trap varbind (in our case º or ñ character), the SpectroSERVER will crash shortly.

Environment

Release : 10.4.1

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

The Spectrum code for Dynamic Alarm Title that was introduced in Spectrum 10.4.1 was not able to handle non-ascii characters.

Resolution

Please request patch Spectrum_10.04.01.D33a from Support if you are using the new Dynamic Alarm Titles in Spectrum 10.4.1 and may have nonascii characters.

Additional Information

After 10.04.01.D33a has been installed the nonascii characters will be printed in the Dynamic Alarm titles as a dash "-".
