Web Isolation fails using Chrome 83 Incognito mode with error Third-party cookies are blocked

Issue/Introduction

Web Isolation works in Chrome when not using Incognito mode.

When opened in Incognito mode, Isolation fails.

Incognito mode worked prior to the Chrome 83 update.

Environment

Chrome 83+

Cause

The new default in Chrome 83 is to block third party cookies in Incognito mode. Web Isolation relies on third party cookies, therefore breaking Web Isolation when disabled.

Previous versions of Chrome had 'block third party cookies' disabled by default.

Resolution

To workaround this new behaviour in Incognito mode, allow all cookies.

This can be set in Chrome under:
settings > privacy and security > third-party cookies > allow third-party cookies
