CDM probe - Message Definition - Run-time error '35603' - MCS IM and AdminConsole in use

Issue/Introduction

Have MCS installed and configured in our environment.  Tried to change the message in the CDM probe for "Computer reboot" either to add the $robotname or change severity and I get a Run-time error of 35603 (attached).  How to change if possible?

Release : 8.x, 9.x, 20.x

Component : UIM - CDM WITH IOSTAT

Workaround

============

- Do a backup of the cdm probe folder before doing any action.

- Stop the cdm probe

- Edit the $Nimsoft\probes\system\cdm\cdm.cfg file and do the change (search for section and subsystem entry inside it)

- Re-Start the cdm probe

 

Due MCS cdm in use you can change the custom alarm messages via Alarm Policy in Operator Console.

Note: There are some limitations for now i.e not able to change the alarm messages from Boot Alarm
