CA View/Deliver - Query regarding SARDBASE and RMODBASE status

Issue/Introduction

The client will be upgrading from CA View/Deliver 12.2 to 14.0.

They have a View database that is still at level 11.7.

How are the databases upgraded?

Release : 14.0

Component : CA View

Resolution

To bring a View 11.7 level database up to the 14.0 level, there needs to be done the following:

. Shut down all tasks running against the database at level 11.7
. Using View 12.2 code, for the //STEPLIB, run SARDBASE with VERSION 12.2.
. Using View 14.0 code, either linklisted or //STEPLIB, run SARDBASE with VERSION 14.0.

RMODBASE VERSION 14.0 would be run against a 12.2 level Deliver database, to being it to the current level. 

If the same database name is being used, there would be no changes needed to either the SARSTC or RMOSTC task.
