Issue/Introduction

This was the error that a few of our partners are running into:

XCOMN0297E Error requesting header confirmation: XCOMN0780E TcpIp  506: Partner ended TCPIP connection unexpectedly.

the XCOM transfer works on port 8044 on non-ssl the error happens only on ssl port 8045

Environment

Release : 11.6

Component : CA XCOM Data Transport for Windows

Resolution

XCOM designates port 8045 as the default port for SSL transfers. In other words if you will be transferring to port 8045 you must have created/have SSL certificates on the partner system and specify parameter SECURE_SOCKET=YES for that transfer to be successful. Otherwise, you will receive message:

XCOMN0297E Error requesting header confirmation: XCOMN0780E TcpIp  506: Partner ended TCPIP connection unexpectedly.
