Environment

Release : 3.7

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

Check the following:

1. Access DCDEBUG: http://daHostname:8581/dcdebug

2. Enter the device's IP Address and IP Domain

3. Click the Polling Configuration by IP radio button and click View Data

4. Scroll down until you find your interface and record its Item ID

5. Hit the back button and click the Enable/Disable link next to Detailed Poll Logging by IP

6. Enter:

IP Address

IP Domain

Change Filtering to Item IDs

ID List = Item ID from step 4

7. Click Enable Logging and click the Search Debug link below

8. After ensuring the IP Address and IP Doman are correct, click the Radio button next to Detailed Poll Logging by IP and click View Data

9. Every so often refresh this page to see new data, if after 20 minutes you do not see any polling data, we need to stop/start polling for this device

Stop/Start Polling:

1.Access the PC GUI

2. Navigate to Administration > Monitored Items Management > Monitored Devices > Search Tab

3. Search for the device in question

4. In the bottom right of the Details tab click the Stop Polling button

5. After a few moments click the refresh button and repeat until the Polled Items Count = 0 above

6. Once it is 0, click the Start Polling button and continue the refresh cycle until the Polled Items Count > 0

At this point you should start seeing polling data back in DCDEBUG, if you do, it will take approximately 2 to 3 polls (10 - 15 min) before data is seen in Dashboards and Reports.
