Notification configuration tab missing

Issue/Introduction

I am looking to configure notifications for violated thresholds. I am following the below link from documentation. Documentation points to Administration->configuration>Notifications.

However, in my case I am missing notification tab under configuration settings. Please see the screen shot attached. I am logged in as Administrator. Any ideas?

Environment

CAPM 3.x

Cause

Event manager was never added as a data source.  To create notifications, the user also requires access to the Event Manager data source.

Resolution

Add the event manager data source and the user should now be able to see the notifications menu option when clicking on the logged in user icon:

Required role right to send notifications:

 

Create Notifications

 

Lets users configure email notifications using the Create/Edit Notifications wizard from the Administration, Notifications menu. Notifications are not supported for all data sources.

To create notifications, the user also requires access to the Event Manager data source.
