We are seeing the below error during startup.

ERROR StatusLogger No log4j2 configuration file found. Using default configuration: logging only errors to the console. Set system property 'log4j2.debug' to show Log4j2 internal initialization logging

This error is in these logs:

Error exist in this log:      Server.log
Error exist in this log:      smadminui-stdout.2020-06-11.log

Please advise what this is and how can this be fixed.


12.8 versions of various SSO and Identity Management products.


The log4j messages are benign--they have no effect on any operating functionality and can be ignored.

The messages will appear in the logs only during startup due to configuration changes in 12.8.

There is no further action required by your team. At this time there is no option or plan for suppressing the message.
