Issue/Introduction

Clearview fails to load with the following error:

20200604/113659.951 - Exception in loader-process: Unable to retrieve UC4 ClearView licence.

 

Environment

Release : 12.0.X, 12.1.X, 12.2.X, 12.3.X

Component : Clearview, AUTOMATION ENGINE

Cause

Configuration.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Automation Engine database for the ClearView licence by executing the following statement:

SELECT * FROM Uc_Lic WHERE lic_Platform = 'ADD.GWA' OR LIC_Platform = 'ADD.CLEARVIEW'

2. If the licences are present - the issue is related to incorrect username/password in the admin.db.properties file

  1. Turn on tracing database = 9 trc03 = 9

  3. Review the trace files
  4. Trace file will show error: "access denied, wrong credentials"

Resolution

Update the username/password for admin.db.properties file with the correct username/password
