Issue masking Norwegian characters in Fast Data Masker

Issue/Introduction

We are facing issues while masking data with Norwegian special characters using Fast Data Masker tool.

We are using below 3 masking functions to mask the data and the Norwegian characters å,ø,æ,Å,Ø,Æ are being converted to unknown characters in the masked output.

Masking Functions used are:

FORMATENCRYPT
FORMATHASH
FORMATMASK

Resolution

You can use the  ‘IGNORED Characters’ options available along with FORMATENCRYPT function in version 4.9 to exclude the special characters from Masking .
