Issue/Introduction

Following a AE Upgrade to 12.3, the JCP crashes upon startup creating a trace file with the following kind of error:

----------------------- Stack Trace -----------------------
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Subcomponent: JCP

Cause

Insufficient memory allocated to the JCP process ( by default is 2GB)

Resolution

Allocate more memory to the JCP process, ie. double from the default 2GB to 4GB.

This can be done either in the Service Manager Dialog or modifying the .smd file
