This Knowledge Document describes how to enable the TCPIP interface for CA Workload Automation CA 7.

In order to exploit the CA 7 Edition TCPIP interface, you must first enable that interface. To do this, you must first acquire a dedicated port from your network team. In the CA 7 online deck you must specify the TCPTPORT keyword on the UCC7VTAM statement. The TCPTMOUT is an optional keyword that sets the timeout value for the TCPIP port. The default is 10 minutes.

UCC7VTAM,APPL=CA7,VTNAME=VTM,TCPTMOUT=10,TCPTPORT=4071

Once you have defined the port, you must recycle CA 7. At startup you will see the following messages in the jes message log:

CAL2T050I TCP/IP host name is MVSA
CAL2T051I TCP/IP host addr is 101.202.25.10
CAL2T065I TCP/IP port number is 4071
