How to enable the TCPIP interface for Workload Automation CA 7 Edition?

 

Resolution

In order to exploit the CA 7 Edition TCPIP interface, you must first enable that interface.  Acquire a dedicated port from your network team. In the CA 7 online deck, specify the port in the TCPTPORT keyword on the UCC7VTAM statement. The TCPTMOUT is an optional keyword that sets the timeout value for the TCPIP port. The default is 10 minutes.

UCC7VTAM,APPL=CA7,VTNAME=VTM,TCPTMOUT=10,TCPTPORT=4071

Once the port is defined, a recycle CA 7 is required.  At startup, the following messages in the jes message log appears:

CAL2T050I TCP/IP host name is HOSTA
CAL2T051I TCP/IP host addr is ###.###.##.##
CAL2T065I TCP/IP port number is 4071
