Cannot update network_address on switch model due to "The update to attribute Network_Address was disallowed"

Issue/Introduction

We are trying to edit IP Address for a few models but are getting an error. 

Pop Up message states...

Model write error: <model_name> The update to attribute Network_Address was disallowed due to a rule implemented on the server.

Environment

Release : 10.3 - 22.2

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

This error can occur if there is a conflict of IP Address on USMOtherIPAddress (0x5b60004) , preventing the IP address change on the model. 

Resolution

Use Locator Search on IP to find the conflicting IPs. Utilize Shared IP and Alarming list to allow the IP Addresses to be changed. 

 

Goto VNM model -> information tab ->shared IP detection and alarming ->
