Issue/Introduction

Description:

This document shows the characters that can be used in user passwords in CA Embedded Entitlements Manager (EEM).

Solution:

You can use the following characters in a CA Embedded Entitlements Manager (EEM) user password:

  • Numbers

  • Uppercase Letters

  • Lowercase Letters

  • Special Characters (ex -,!,*,; $,#,@).

There are no invalid special characters that can be used in the password.

NOTE: There is a known problem in EEM r12.0 CR02,

The CA EEM server installer sets wrong password for EiamAdmin during installation if the EiamAdmin password contains multiple $ symbols. This is resolved in EEM r12.0 CR06. Please contact CA Technologies Support to get EEM r12.0 CR06 if required.
