ASM agent error when trying to use an updated version of the Json jar library

Issue/Introduction

After downloading the bundle for ASM Monitor, placing the new libraries (eg: json-20180130.jar, commons-codec-1.11.jar, asm-monitor.jar) in the /folder directory of the agent and updating the ASMCtrl.sh accordingly, the agent starts but it stops fairly quick producing the following error in the ASM agent log:

 

[ERROR] [EPAgent.Asm.MainThread] Fatal error org/json/JSONException - exiting!!!

Resolution

For this particular case the problem was a typo in the ASM startup script (ASMCtrl.sh) defining the json-20180130.jar path.
