Issue/Introduction

Performance tab in Spectrum OneClick version 10.3.x is blank for Cisco Firepower 4110 and 4120 devices

Environment

Release : 10.3

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

The Cisco Firepower 4120 devices are not certified in Spectrum 10.3. They are certified in Spectrum 10.4.1. Reference https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/spectrum/10-4-1/release-information/features-and-enhancements/device-certifications.html In Spectrum 10.3, they model as GnSNMPDev so they will only use MIB-2 standard mibs. There is no MIB-2 standard mibs for CPU and memory. Most vendors have their own private mibs that contain this information.

For Cisco Firepower 4110, they are certified in Spectrum 10.3 to use the Rtr_Cisco model type. However, they do not support the following Cisco mib attributes that are used for CPU and memory for the Rtr_Cisco model type:

cpmCPUTotal5minRev attribute id 0x21126b
ciscoMemoryPoolFree attribute id 0x210a61
ciscoMemoryPoolUsed attribute id 0x210a60

Resolution

For the Cisco Firepower 4120 devices, self certify the devices to use the CiscoASA model type as that is the model type that is used to certify the device in Spectrum 10.4.1. Reference https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/spectrum/10-3-2/managing-network/certifications/self-certification.html

For the Cisco Firepower 4110 devices, you will need to find supported attribute to use for CPU and memory and then customize the model to use those attributes.
