Issue/Introduction

[NFA] Unable to merge interfaces due to concurrent endpoints

Environment

Release : 10.0

Component : NQRPTA - REPORTERANALYZER

Cause

Merging two interfaces that have the same endpoints (time collection started or stopped) is not permitted in Network Flow Analysis

Resolution

Generally, this happens when a router is being replaced and both routers are sending data to NFA at the same time.

The simple fix for this is to delete the 'new router' and allow it to come back in to NFA. This will generate a new starting endpoint and allow the merge to complete.

The downside to this is you will have a hole of data from the time the 'old' router was decommissioned and the new router comes back in after the deletion.
