After changing the hostname to the SpectroSERVER server, it is no longer able to connect to CLI

Issue/Introduction

After changing the hostname to the SpectroSERVER server, no longer able to connect to the Command Line Interface (CLI). The following error is seen:

Connect: can only connect to SpectroSERVERs in <Hostname>%/c/win32app/Spectrum/vnmsh

In order to resolve this problem check the ".vnmshrc" file under the $SPECROOT/vnmsh directory.



Check that the value vnm_hostname has the correct hostname (new hostname), example:




vnm_hostname=SPECTRUM-SRV




After changing and saving the .vnmshrc file try to connect to the CLI again.



Note: Make sure that the hostname is correctly resolved either through the DNS Server or local hosts file.
