Issue/Introduction

 You will find below error messages in AWI log file.

 

Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException:

Failed to create a sub directory for the OSGI configuration under /appdata/Automic/AutomationEngine/bin/configuration  

at com.automic.server.startup.Main.getUniqueSubDirectory(Main.java:211)    

at com.automic.server.startup.Main.main(Main.java:101)

Environment

Automic Web Interface : 12.x

Automation Engine : 12.x

Cause

cause: Permission issue

Resolution

Resolution: Follow below step.

Need to change the permission on the folder C:\AutomationEngine/bin/configuration directory.

Role required: Admin

You need to change the permission because,  It is owned by root but it should be owned by your automic user.
