Issue/Introduction

Issuing the CDSAS (CICS Dynamic Storage Areas) primary command  (CDSAS) , where is the limit being picked up for the PVT storage?

 

Resolution

The PVT LIMIT is the amount of the PRIVATE storage allocated to the user. 

The PRIVATE command can be issued to see how this breaks down further.
Issue the HELP command on each of these displays in SYSVIEW to get the field information.

The PVT percentages are ' Alloc' (current amount of storage allocated.) divided by 'Size' (The current size of the DSA or private storage size)
