Issue/Introduction

Have just added node to database and the next step in the document is Create the buddy projection which again I do not know what this is.

Environment

Release : 3.7

Component : IM storage

Cause

The buddy projection is what sets up k-safety to allow a single node to become a vertica cluster.

Resolution

This step is only needed if you are going from one node to multiple.

Since a multiple node cluster already has k-safety set to one, this is not needed if adding an additional node to a multi-node cluster.
