Ethernet interfaces on Palo Alto firewalls are reporting an incorrect value of interface speed in CA Performance Management (CAPM)

Issue/Introduction

Ethernet interface speeds on Palo Alto firewalls are reporting incorrect speed. CAPM should be reading the ifHighSpeed OID:

1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.15

However, CAPM is reading ifSpeed (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5) instead.

Environment

DX NetOps CAPM 20.2 or later

Resolution

In cases where the Interface has a value of 0 for ifHighSpeed (1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.15), then CAPM will default to using ifSpeed (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5) for the speed of the interface.

Hence, this is working as designed.
