Data collector wont stay connected

CA Performance Management - Usage and Administration
One of our data collectors wont stay connected to the DA. I have restarted 4 times now, it stops, starts, reconnects, then about 1 min later disconnects.

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration
Cache appears to have been corrupted as this resolved the issue:
mv data data.bak
Then restart the DC.
