Java Agent has high heap utilization

Issue/Introduction

Application team has been looking at heap dumps and are alarmed by how much heap space the Introscope Wily agents are using.  They have provided thread and heap dumps.  These are production WebSphere instances running IBM Java v1.8.0_201 x64 and Introscope agents v10.2.0.22 (Build 990022).

Release : 10.2

JDK: IBM Java v1.8.0_201 x64 

Cause

Unsupported Agent version and Configuration 

Resolution

1. Upgrade the agent to supported / compatible Agent.

APM 10.2 is EOS

CA APM Release and Support Lifecycle Dates

2. IBM JVM requires NoRedefNoRetrans  Agent jar and profile;

On an IBM JVM, use the AgentNoRedefNoRetrans.jar file instead of Agent.jar.
