Issue/Introduction

Currently the MAXREM parameter in XCOMDFLT member is set to 75 for all the origins.

Is it possible to reduce the number of concurrent transfers to 10 or 15 only from a specific  IP address?

Are there any options with TYPE=DEST members to force a lower MAXREM only for certain remote IPs?
TCPSESS it seems one option, but doc explains that this parameter have sense only for locally initiated transfers.

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Resolution

There is no possibility for the filtering to be done on the receiving side.

This is due to the fact that the remote partner specifics are not available until after the connection is made and initial processing of the request is done.
At any point the connection could be refused but the connection overhead has already been incurred.
