Sensitive data is not stored in the file system of the machine where FDM is running.

A Cursor SELECT is used to retrieve data to be masked.
This data is then used to generate the mask value.
An UPDATE statement is then called to replace data with masked values.
This process applies to any type of masking including HASHLOV.
So sensitive data may be used temporarily in RAM memory of the FDM application.
Encryption in transit is handled by the database. Please use settings provided by the JDBC driver while talking to the database.
