How many historical alarms can be displayed in USM?

Issue/Introduction

When I try to view my historical alarms in USM it takes a very long time.

Environment

- UIM 8.x or higher

Cause

- rows in the table

Resolution

We only support up to 80,000 historical alarms being displayed in USM.

In testing, by adding more memory to the wasp probe, the development team has been able to achieve as high as 120,000 but higher numbers than this are not supported and not likely to work.

To check the number of alarms in the database you can run this query:

 SELECT COUNT(*) FROM NAS_TRANSACTION_SUMMARY

If its too large and you need to reduce it to speed up alarm display in USM, open a case with support to investigate how to go about it.
