Issue/Introduction

We have two collectors serving the same purpose. We have recently upgraded the collectors to 10.7. After the upgrade, an issue is seen. The db password that is stored in tess-db-cfg.xml file changes automatically. We had set up plain text password and for a while the Introscope works fine and then it stops. We check and find that the plain text password has changed to an encrypted password. Please assist.

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : APM Agents

Resolution

The password in tess-db-cfg.xml will always be encrypted each time you start the Enterprise Manager. That is the design of the product. There is no way to change this on the user side.
