Issue/Introduction
Users TSO sessions may hang when attempting to submit events through Jobtrac using the Jobtrac RUN command.
Environment
Release : 11.0
Component : JOBTRAC
Resolution
TSO users may encounter a problem where they are unable to submit jobs through Jobtrac using the RUN command and their TSO session hangs. This can occur when the date routine GJTRSQLT loaded by the TSO user is back level and is not at the critical fix SO10751 level that is required for the year 2020. It is possible that the load module search order being used by TSO users is referencing an old version of module GJTRSQLT.
To verify that GJTRSQLT is at the right level perform the following at the main Jobtrac ISPF screen:
1) TSO ISRDDN 2) LOAD GJTRSQLT 3) A dialog box will come up, hit enter again to see the load module in hex dump format. 4) Verify the eyecatcher: GJTRSQLT CHDB000 ~RMID(SO10751)~ 20191107 17.52
To address the problem of the TSO session hanging when the Jobtrac RUN command is used, please ensure that all TSO users are accessing the Jobtrac library with the updated version of GJTRSQLT with eyecatcher: GJTRSQLT CHDB000 ~RMID(SO10751)~ 20191107 17.52
As always, please contact Broadcom support for Jobtrac Job Management if you have further questions.
