Issue/Introduction

We updated the misspelled attributes and now we are receiving this error message on the server.log files and also Task Failed on the User Console.

2020-05-27 12:33:13,319 ERROR [ims.tmt.IMSMessageListener] (Thread-1469 (HornetQ-client-global-threads-1553029423)) processToEndState: Exception occured d
uring event processing: AttributeNotPresentException: This method requires the presence of an attribute which was not provided. The attribute is named %BU
SINESS_UNIT%.

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

Check the following items:
  1. Ensure you have updated the attributes correctly in your Provisioning Store Directory, User Store Directory, Environment Settings and Role Definitions XML files.
  2. If the above is confirmed, validate the task that is calling the attribute has the right attribute on the screen.

If the above does not resolve the issue it could be that values are cached.

To correct this issue clear the JMS queue.  In virtual appliance you can clear the JMS queue by using the alias deleteIDMJMSqueue
