Issue/Introduction

After altering DeviceTypes.xml the expected devices do not change types

Environment

Release : 3.7

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

To get new types to be picked up, you must do a rediscovery of the devices in question.  For this discovery to be successful you must have a working SNMP Profile available in the Discovery Profile being used for rediscovery.  If the Discovery is not successful the devices will never update.
