Issue/Introduction

Scheduled a job to run every 5 minutes in Automic shows status  FAULT_ALREADY_RUNNING - task is already running.

 


How to avoid this status when there is a scheduled job running every 5 minutes. 

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Resolution

FAULT_ALREADY_RUNNING - task is already running is general status when previous execution is not finished and job(Same Job) running every 5 minutes . 

Check how much time it takes when you run the same job once .Based on that  configure the attribute tab settings. (Simultaneous Executions)

Making Simultaneous Executions to 0 will allow any number of executions without dependency.Keeping the setting in 1, one execution is already running and second one starts at same time 
and it finds previous one already running , this brings up the status FAULT_ALREADY_ RUNNING. Attribute tab setting all depends on your job run time , You have to calculate the runtime 
and configure this tab settings.
