Issue/Introduction

The following event is seen when modeling AristaSwitch devices:

Unable to uniquely identify the device at IP address 4.10.130.22.20.0.0.0.0.1.1 because the model type AristaSwitch and the model type AristaSwitch have the same disposable precedence value( event [0x00010644])

Environment

Release : 10.4.1, 21.2, 22.2, 23.3, 24.3

Cause

This issue happens when Spectrum tries to identify the unique ModelType using internal and external mapping of SysOID.

Resolution

This issue happens when Spectrum tries to identify the unique ModelType using internal and external mapping of the SysOID.

This can be manually resolved by doing the following:

1) Stop SS and Launch MTE
2) Search for AristaSwitch ModelType
3) In the contents pane search for "vendor"
4) Clear the attribute value for the below attributes.
     VendorIDVerifyList (0x00012ad9)
     VendorOIDVerifyList (0x00012ada)
5) Start the SS

This is resolved on Spectrum 24.3.4+
