PPM Resource Finder not able to filter resource names with Czech accented characters

Issue/Introduction

Environment:
PPM 15.7.1 with MSSQL 2016 

Setup up PPM admin user with Czech language/locale as account settings (Optional setup: as the issue can be replicated with English)

1. Login to PPM as admin user create a user/resource in PPM with first name "čć"
2. Navigate to resource finder  (Home> resource management > Resource finder)
3. Expand filter and type čć in resource name section and hit filter. 


Expected result:
The resource finder portlet to display the user čć 

Actual result:
The resource finder portlet returns no results


Note:
Issue not affecting Oracle DB
The filter issue is for resource finder alone and issue not affecting the resource and user list pages.

Cause

Clarity product Defect DE55190

Resolution

Defect is fixed in clarity 15.9.2.

 

Workaround of using the alternate resource listing portlet from the resource management menu. In addition to that the best practice when trying to search the first name from resource name field is to prefix the search string with *
