Backout procedures for Endevor for Natural Environment (EINE)

Issue/Introduction

Looking for instructions on how to create the necessary backups of the current version of EINE prior to an upgrade plus instructions on how to back out an EINE upgrade if necessary.

Environment

Release : 18.0 18.1

Component : Endevor Natural Integration 

Resolution

1)   Make backup copy of the current EINELIB Natural library - EINEV17 or something like that

2)   Create an ADASAV of the EINE MQ and SYSPROF files

3)   Copy the V18 EINELIB that has been tested to the production Natural EINELIB 

4)   Run the ADADBS Change and New Field jobs

5)   Shutdown and restart the EINE servers so they pick up the new EINELIB 


If a back out is required:
1)  Copy the EINEV17 Natural library back into the production EINELIB

2)  Restore the EINE MQ and SYSPROF files from the ADASAV

3)  Shutdown and restart the EINE Servers so they pick up the old EINELIB


Note:   There should not be anything to change with the NATPARM unless there was a change to the LFILE definitions for EINE MQ and SYSPROF file.  There is nothing EINE version specific in the NATPARM.
