APPLY SO07101 and SO07102 failed because the USS files are lost for ESP REST API

Issue/Introduction

Trying to deploy the REST API FMID(CRSTC00) which was already applied and accepted.

During the APPLY of PTFs SO07101 and SO07102, the job ended with RC08: 

GIM54701E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CRSTPATH - IKJ56228I PATH /example/cai/esp/CA/rest/CA/ NOT IN CATALOG OR
              CATALOG CAN NOT BE ACCESSED.
GIM54701E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR CFIFPATH - IKJ56228I PATH /example/cai/esp/CA/webUI/CA/ NOT IN CATALOG OR
              CATALOG CAN NOT BE ACCESSED.

The USS directories have been inadvertently deleted from our environment. How to get around this?

Release : 12.0

Component : REST API

Resolution

Rerun xxxxxMKD to recreate the directories, and reapply SO07101 and SO07102.   There is no need to reinstall ESP.
