Is it possible to decrypt a UIM (Nimsoft) password, either in the database or security.cfg file?

Issue/Introduction

I would like to decrypt some passwords in UIM, such as the administrator password in security.cfg, or the snmp credentials in the cm_snmp_authentication table.  Is that possible?

Environment

Release : 9.2.0

 

Resolution

It is not possible.  We have intentionally used a one-way encryption for security purposes and passwords cannot be decrypted.
