XCOM21578E Error occurred when verification of certificate. Certificate validation not completed.

Issue/Introduction

When trying to send a transfer via XCOM  the following error is reported in xcom.log

XCOMN0526E CA XCOM Gateway file extraction failed: XCOM21578E Error occurred when verification of certificate. Certificate validation not completed.

Cause

"AUTHENTICATE" was set to YES on Gateway Global Parameters -> Manage Certificate screen and need to be set up

Resolution

We generally use "AUTHENTICATE" set to NO because when both the XCOM client and the Gateway server run on the same machine in a typical setup, there is additional overhead for authentication for each connection between XCOM and the Gateway.
