Nightly catalog sync job failing for all environments. Message received is:

VSI1102E  RETURN CODE 0008 FEEDBACK CODE 0156 RECEIVED FROM GET MACRO FOR RPL CNTL BLOCK
SYN0012E  $IMR QUERY CATALOG REQUEST FAILED. $IMR ERROR MESSAGE FOLLOWS.       
          ON ELEMENT ASM1   TYPE CNTL  AT ENV ENV1     SID D SYS SYS1   SBS SUBSYS1
IMGR201E  VSAM I/O ERROR ON IMR FUNCTION AGAINST DDNAME SYS00005, RC=0000 FEEDBK=0000

Resolution

This error is caused by a bad CI in the VSAM structure. The error message VSI1102E's feedback code 156 message text is: Bad CI found during keyed processing - RPL holds 
Reorg the VSAM file. Take RLS or LSERV control off the file, if applicable. Then backup/delete/define and restore the file. Then restore control of the file to RLS or LSERV.
