Issue/Introduction

Can DE be configured with two SNMP servers?

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION DE (DSERIES)

Resolution

DE can have several SNMP servers defined in the Topology.

The SNMP traps message can be seen in the tracelogs. The following is example from tracelog, which shows the SNMP server definition.

2020XXXX 00:00:12.345 [facade:request] [INFO] RMI TCP Connection(5)-10.0.2.2: [2020-XX-XX_00:00:12.345] AmsFacade.readArtifact() response: userToken=[UserToken[userId=NITIN,tokenId=123456789002962XXXX]], StandardResponse[statusMessage=LOCAL read successfully., statuscompletioncode=SUCCESS, statusmessageid=0000, infomessages=(), payload=ReadPayload[definition={snmp.managerport=<xml-fragment xmlns:map="http://dto.wa.ca.com/map">

  <map:desired>162</map:desired>

  <map:connectedInUse>162</map:connectedInUse>

  <map:peerInUse>162</map:peerInUse>

</xml-fragment>, snmp.manageraddress=<xml-fragment xmlns:map="http://dto.wa.ca.com/map">

  <map:desired>192.168.10.100</map:desired>

  <map:connectedInUse>192.168.10.100</map:connectedInUse>

  <map:peerInUse>192.168.10.100</map:peerInUse>

</xml-fragment>, rp.groupName=<xml-fragment xmlns:map="http://dto.wa.ca.com/map">

For multiple SNMP entries Topology, the tracelog will show each entry similar to above example.  The DE server will send traps at startup and at server shutdown to each SNMP server.
